Mitchell Ryan Stevens, age 43, passed away on Tuesday July 18, 2023, at his home in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 9, 1980, to Daniel Patrick Stevens and Wana Kay (Stevens) Lowe. Mitchell was father to Ryan Patrick (19) and Jackson Robert Stevens (16) both of Lafayette, Indiana.
Throughout his life, Mitchell had many passions and wore several hats. He spent time as a lifeguard, a chef and cook, a car salesman, and a professional painter, among other things. He was a musician and an artist with a passion for drawing. He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Mitchell had an enigmatic personality and had an impact on anyone who met him through his caring demeanor, a love for his friends, his family, children, and his pets. He was known for his sense of humor, and his desire to make everyone around him laugh.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his girlfriend Angela Bewley of Lebanon, his mother, a stepfather Richard Freeman, his children, his brother Richard Stevens (Dawn), a sister Rebecca Craft (Aaron), numerous nieces and nephews, several stepbrothers and stepsisters, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor at the Life’s Journey Church 522 W. Powell Street in Lebanon on Saturday August 12, 2023, from 2:00-4:00pm. We would like to invite any musicians who are interested in attending to bring your instrument and join us for a special brief jam session in Mitchell’s honor.
