Mr. Lowell Gene Rogers, 90, of Advance, Indiana, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, at home in Advance. He was born January 8, 1929, in Ladoga, Indiana, the son of the late Elmer and Claudia (Phelps) Rogers.

He graduated from Ladoga High School and served four years honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Following the Air Force he attended college.

On March 18, 1950, he was married to Hazel (Thompson) Rogers in Jamestown, Indiana. After 69 wonderful years of marriage, she survives.

Lowell was a test engineer and dedicated employee for thirty years at International Harvester.

He was a faithful member of Jamestown Church of God of Prophecy. In his spare time, Lowell enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on small engines and tinkering around in his garage.

In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Rogers, John Rogers and Dean Rogers.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Jamestown Church of God of Prophecy, 8 West Elm Street, Jamestown, Indiana 46147.

Interment will follow services at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown.
