Mrs. Carolyn Blankenship, 78, of Lebanon, passed away Oct. 2, 2019.

Carolyn was born Sept. 28, 1941 in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Marvin and Audra (Fine) Cody.

Carolyn was a graduate of Lebanon High School. She was retired from Witham Hospital, having worked in accounts receivable. She enjoyed fishing and going to casinos. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Jean (Greg) Kolp and Scott (Chelsey) King, both of Lebanon and Brenda Hayard and Bob Blankenship, Jr. both of Florida; grandchildren: Skylar King of Lebanon, Tanner King of Brazil, IN, Taylor King of Noblesville, Madison Heffron of Lebanon, Dustin (Enza) Kolp of Lebanon and Amber (Matt) Turner of West Lafayette; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd King; her second husband, Robert “Bob” Blankenship; a sister, Beverly Belknap and a brother, Don Cody.

Family and friends will gather Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019 for visitation from 2-6 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
