Mrs. Linda Sue Hodges, 72, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Feb. 21, 2020, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, surrounded by her family and friends.

Linda was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Lebanon, the daughter of the late Herbert Richard Linton and Betty Jean (Mills) Linton McIntyre. She married Charles Edward Hodges on Dec. 19, 1964, and they recently celebrated 55 years of marriage. He survives.

Linda worked for Dr. Honan as a lab technician until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards and was especially known for her love of cooking and baking delicious desserts. Linda enjoyed going to their second home at Raccoon Lake, always visiting with friends and sitting on her porch, driving around on her golf cart and sitting in her swing outside by the campfire. She had an absolute zest for life and loved having friends and family over to play poker.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Hodges of Lebanon; daughters, Kimberly Hodges, Charlotte Hodges, and Melissa (Mike) Chelf-Poppe, all of Lebanon; sisters, Janet Zore of Indianapolis and Diana (Gary) Anderson of Clayton; grandchildren, Michael Hodges, Cody Chelf, Megan Poppe, and Andrea (Mike) Poppe-Greathouse; great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Dakota Greathouse; and several other family members. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her step-father, Robert McIntyre; and brother, Rudie McIntyre.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and the funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m. with visitation two hours prior to the service in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N.
