Golden State held off a fourth-quarter rally by the Spurs to pull out a 99-91 win in Oakland in Game Five. The “Dubs” won the series four-games-to-one and will face New Orleans in the Western Conference semifinals.

(Boston, MA) — The opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs comes to an end tonight. The Bruins and Maple Leafs square off in a deciding Game Seven at TD Garden. Boston had a 3-1 advantage, but has lost the last two games, including a 3-1 defeat at Toronto on Monday. The conference semifinals begin tomorrow.

(Foxboro, MA) — Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will have his top offensive weapon next season. Tight end Rob Gronkowski posted on Instagram that he met with head coach Bill Belichick and will be returning for the 2018 season. ESPN reports New England doesn’t plan to trade “Gronk.” He had been contemplating retirement due to his injury-plagued past.

(Cleveland, OH) — What the Browns are going to do with the number-one pick in tomorrow’s NFL Draft is still a mystery. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Cleveland has not ruled out taking former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield in the top slot. The other two QBs thought to be in the discussion are Sam Darnold out of USC and Wyoming’s Josh Allen. The Browns also have the fourth selection.

(Cincinnati, OH) — The Braves are promoting top prospect Ronald Acuna Jr. from the minor leagues. Multiple reports say the 20-year-old outfielder will be called up before tonight’s game in Cincinnati. Acuna had a spectacular spring training, but started the season in Triple-A to give the Braves an extra year of contractual control.
