(Elmont, NY) — Justify is the winner of the 150th running of the Belmont Stakes. The Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner became just the 13th horse to complete the Triple Crown and the first since American Pharoah in 2015. Gronkowski, named after New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, ended up in second and Hofburg took third. Justify is just the second undefeated horse to win the Triple Crown, joining Seattle Slew, who did it in 1977.

>>Two Lady Vols Inducted Into Women’s HOF

(Knoxville, TN) — Former Tennessee forward Chamique Holdsclaw and assistant Mickie DeMoss are the newest Lady Vols to be inducted in the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. Holdsclaw led the Volunteers to three-straight titles from 1996 to 1998. She is also the all-time leading scorer and rebounder in the Southeastern Conference. DeMoss served as an assistant for Tennessee on six championship teams.

>>Grizzlies Add Stackhouse To Coaching Staff

(Memphis, TN) — The Grizzlies are bringing in former NBA player Jerry Stackhouse to be their next assistant coach. Stackhouse recently interviewed with the Raptors and the Knicks for a head coaching spot before accepting the position. The Kinston, North Carolina native led Toronto’s G-League team to back-to-back Finals appearances and a G-League championship in 2017. Stackhouse played 18 seasons in the NBA and was a two-time All-Star.

(Nashville, TN) — The Titans are returning to the field tomorrow to kick-off mandatory minicamp. Tennessee wrapped up its voluntary OTA’s last week. The Titans will hold their final minicamp session on Thursday before shifting their attention to training camp, which is expected to take place some time in July. The preseason gets underway in early August.

(Bethlehem, PA) — Louisville City FC was unable to find the net against Bethlehem Steel FC as their match ended in a scoreless draw on Saturday at Goodman Stadium. Louisville City had their six-game winning streak snapped as they dropped to 7-2-and-2 in USL play. Louisville is second in the USL Eastern Conference standings with 23 points.

(St. Petersburg, FL) — Nashville SC fell just short of a win after their match with the Tampa Bay Rowdies ended in a 1-1 draw in St. Petersburg on Saturday. Nashville, which dropped to 5-2-and-5 in USL action, will return home to host North Carolina FC on Saturday. Nashville SC is sixth in the USL Eastern Conference standings with 20 points.

(Louisville, KY) — The Louisville Bats and Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders had their series finale cancelled due to rain. Louisville split with the RailRiders in the two games that were played over the weekend. The Bats will open a four-game series with the Columbus Clippers tonight at Slugger Field. Louisville is last in IL West Division at 22-and-36.

(Nashville, TN) — The Nashville Sounds are wrapping up their four-game series with the Tacoma Rainiers tonight at First Tennessee Park. Bruce Maxwell drove in two runs for the Sounds in a losing effort as they fell to the Rainiers 5-4 in Nashville last night. The Sounds are second in the PCL American Southern Division at 30-and-31.
