>>Rams Acquire CB Talib From Broncos

(Los Angeles, CA) — The Los Angeles Rams are staying busy on the trade market. They acquired cornerback Aqib Talib [[ AH-keeb TAH-leeb ]] from the Broncos on Thursday for a fifth-round pick. It’s the fourth trade for the Rams this offseason after dealing linebacker Alec Ogletree to the Giants, defensive end Robert Quinn to the Dolphins and acquiring Marcus Peters from the Chiefs.

>>Curry Leaves With Sprained Ankle

(Oakland, CA) — Warriors guard Steph Curry played just two minutes last night due to a sprained right ankle. Curry was hurt on a layup attempt in the first quarter and immediately left the game. The two-time MVP has been dealing with various ankle injuries all season on both legs. He had his right ankle surgically repaired in 2012. He’s been ruled out of Golden State’s next two games.

>>Timberwolves Sign G Rose

(Minneapolis, MN) — Guard Derrick Rose is reuniting with former coach Tom Thibodeau in Minneapolis. Rose has agreed to sign with the Timberwolves for the rest of the season. He also joins former Bulls teammates Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson. Rose hasn’t played since being waived by Utah last month. Thibodeau coached the former NBA MVP on the Bulls from 2010 to 2015.

>>Celtics’ Brown Okay After Bad Fall

(Minneapolis, MN) — Celtics guard Jaylen Brown will be okay after taking a hard fall during Thursday’s win over the Timberwolves. Brown scored on breakaway dunk in the third quarter, but landed on his upper neck and was briefly immobilized. Brown walked off the court on his own, and underwent a CT scan. He tweeted that he had a headache, but is otherwise okay.

>>Pitt Fires HC Stallings

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The University of Pittsburgh is firing head basketball coach Kevin Stallings. The move was expected after the Panthers went 0-and-19 in the ACC this season. In two seasons, Stallings guided Pitt to a record of 24-and-41 overall and 4-and-33 in conference play. Pitt athletic director Heather Lyke says a search for a new coach is starting immediately.
