The Jets advance to face Vegas in the Western Conference Final. Game One is tomorrow in Winnipeg.

(Charlotte, NC) — Spurs assistant James Borrego is the new head coach of the Hornets. ESPN reports the two sides have agreed to a four-year deal, with the fourth year a team option. Borrego met with owner Michael Jordan over the weekend and began working on a contract this week. He’s been as assistant under Gregg Popovich in San Antonio since 2015.

(San Francisco, CA) — Giants starting pitcher Johnny Cueto [[ KWAY-toh ]] will be out longer than originally expected. The Giants have transferred the 32-year-old right-hander to the 60-day disabled list. Cueto is dealing with a sprained right elbow and will officially be out until at least June 29th. He’s 3-and-0 with a 0.84 ERA in five starts with San Francisco this season.

(Undated) — Free-agent running back Adrian Peterson says he’s fully healthy and ready to play. The 33-year-old tells NFL Network that he’s been given medical clearance by three different doctors. Peterson was released by Arizona in March after last season ended with a neck injury. The former Vikings star ranks 12th on the NFL’s all-time rushing list with 12,276 yards.
