(Charlotte, NC) — Jason Day is celebrating a victory at the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow. Day beat Aaron Wise and Nick Watney by two strokes to earn his 12th career win. Day birdied two of his final three holes to post a two-under 69 in Sunday’s final round and finish 12-under for the tournament. Phil Mickelson tied for fifth place at seven-under, while Tiger Woods struggled and ended in a tie for 55th at plus-two.

(St. Louis, MO) — Dexter Fowler connected for a two-run, walk-off blast in the bottom of the 14th to give the Cardinals a 4-3 win over Cubs at Busch Stadium. Javier Baez had given Chicago a one-run lead the previous half frame on a solo shot. The Cubs were swept in the three-game series to drop them to 16-and-15. Chicago is fourth in the National League Central, three-and-a-half games behind first-place St. Louis. The Cards are 20-and-12.
