Nelda Marie (Williams) Morton, 78, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas, after her battle with cancer. She was born October 25, 1942 to Maggie (Bearden) Williams and W. R. Williams in El Dorado, Arkansas.
She worked as a bookkeeper for many years and retired from Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bill Petsch; a sister, Mary Ellen Leigh; and brother-in-law, Russell Leigh.
Nelda leaves behind her husband, James Morton; brother, Robbie (Debbie) Williams; two stepdaughters, Cindy (Jose) Morton and Candi (Kenny) Smith; two stepsons, John (Lori) Petsch and Michael (Molly) Petsch; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece, Lindy (Justin) Freeland; nephews, Rusty Leigh and Terry (Rachel) Leigh, great-nephews; as well as several cousins, extended family members, and many friends.
The family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, Arkansas.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Mud Creek Cemetery in Boone County.
