The Western Boone School Board voted unanimously Monday evening to spend $91,850 on new software to manage the district’s payroll and budget. Information Technology Director Kyle Whitely explained that the current system has been in use for at least 20 years — possibly as long as 30 years — and does not store previous years’ data, making it necessary for administrators to consult paper binders of printouts for historical data.
