(Undated) — Indiana football legend George Taliaferro is dead at the age of 91. George Taliaferro died Monday night in Bloomington and was best known as the first African-American to be drafted into the NFL. He was an All-American at Indiana and suited up for the Hoosiers from 1945-through-1948. Taliaferro was selected by the Chicago Bears in 1949 and played seven years of pro football, earning three Pro Bowl appearances.
