Starting November 1st, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office will raise money for the Boone County Cancer Society with a “No-Shave November” campaign. 2021 marks the 8 th year for the campaign.
To participate, employees who donate a minimum of $60 to the fund will be allowed to grow facial hair during the month of November. For those wishing to extend the challenge, employees will be able to do so by donating $100 for the month of December.
Female employees who want to help fight the cause will be given a bracelet to show their support and/or allowed to wear pink or blue highlights in their hair. The cancer awareness bracelets will be given out upon receipt of a monetary donation. Information about “No Shave November” is available at no-shave.org.
