A Lebanon Community School Corporation pilot preschool program started at Perry-Worth Elementary is now in its fourth year and delivered in three schools. Mental Health America of Boone County developed the program called Young Scholars Preparatory Pre-K and first offered it in the 2016-17 school year at Perry-Worth. “We did a feasibility study of the early education, or lack of early education, and the people who weren’t being reached,” Pascal Fettig, MHABC CEO said. “The number of children entering kindergarten without any preschool preparation at Perry-Worth was higher than at any other school, so we chose it as a pilot.” More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
