Norma J. Stone, 84, passed away at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon on Sunday, July 31, 2022. She was born in Greenfield, Indiana, on October 31, 1937, a daughter of the late Esther Claycomb.
Raised in the Indianapolis area, Norma was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. She worked as a receptionist for Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon and retired after 30 years working distribution for MGM Home Video in Indianapolis.
She had a passion for horses and enjoyed serving as treasurer of the Indiana Half Arabian Horse Club. Norma was an avid fan of IU Basketball. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family dearly.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Lebanon Eagles #2062.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, George M. (Sherrie) Stone of Camby and Bret A. Stone of Indianapolis; two sons in law, Robert Hochstetler of Lebanon and James Buis of Indianapolis; fourteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren, brother, Bob Claycomb of Phoenix, Arizona and sister, Margie (John) Rogers of Greenfield.
In addition to her mother, Norma was preceded in death by two daughters, Katherine J. Hochstetler and Patricia A. Buis.
Memorials may be directed in Norma’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
