Mr. Gerald Johnson, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away May 31, 2019.

Gerald was born Mar. 30, 1953, in Pennington Gap, VA, a son of Alfred and Daisy (Emry) Johnson.

Gerald was a graduate of Jones High School. He moved to Indianapolis when he was 14 years old. He had worked at Concrete Structures for 20 years and most recently, Hunt Pavement for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and enjoying his grandkids. He ran beagles for years with his father-in-law, Buck and nephews at Central Indiana Beagle Club.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Johnson of Indianapolis, sons: Jeffery Johnson of Lebanon and Jimmy (Vett) Ward of Indianapolis; daughters: Jenn Armstrong and Kim (Darryl) Renner of Lebanon and Latona Cameron of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Courtney Butler, Kyler Butler, Jalynn Johnson, Meme, Peyton, Jayla, Brooklyn, Paige, Janyla, Jamie, Savannah Johnson and Eli Johnson; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Laylah, Addi and Harmony; brothers: Claude and Billy David and sisters: Ruth, Delephene, Lucille, Burnette and Geneva.

Family and friends will gather Monday, June 3, 2019, for visitation from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at New Crown Cemetery in Indianapolis.
