Hilda Sue Aishe, 86, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born January 23, 1933 in Odon, Indiana, a daughter of the late James Herman and Lora Mabel (Priest) Aishe.

She was a 1951 graduate of Odon High School and a 1955 graduate of Indiana State University where she received her teaching certificate.

In the late 1950s, Hilda moved to Lebanon and began teaching English and Literature at Lebanon High School. She had a passion for teaching and was dedicated to her students. She retired in 1997.

After retirement, Hilda selflessly volunteered at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was a member of Odon First Christian Church and the Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include, a sister, Helen Myers of Odon, Indiana; brother-in-law, Irven Dale Myers of Linton, Indiana; four nieces, Myra Lynn (Chris) McCart, Cindy (Dee) Smith, Tammy (Don) Mikolasy, and Nadia (Bob) Webster; and a dear friend, Karen Neaville of Lebanon, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Gene Benward, and a nephew, Steven (surviving wife, P.J.) Myers.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the funeral home in Lebanon.
Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, Indiana.
