Mrs. Linda Kay Massing, 72, of Lebanon, passed away June 3, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital.
Linda was born Feb. 16, 1947, in Lebanon, the daughter of the late James McClaine and Mary Frances (Cline) McClaine Carter. She met her husband, Art Massing, while working at the Lucky Steer in Lebanon and they were wed on July 2, 1976 by Rev. Woody in the Methodist Church in Whitestown.
Linda attended Whitestown High School where she was a cheerleader for the Panthers. She worked as a waitress at the Lucky Steer in Lebanon and Adams Rib in Zionsville. She ended her working career at Frito Lay.
Linda was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers. She was a fanatic Colts fan and also enjoyed gardening, cooking and watching Food Network. She helped Art design and build their home where they also planted more than 400 trees on their property. Linda loved Christmas and loved decorating her 10 ft. tree. Her family was most important to her and her love for them was shown every day.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Art; children, Jay (Susan) Wood and Penny (Gary) Bombei, both of Lebanon; one grandchild and one great-grandchild; aunt and uncle, Sara and Clifford Cline and several cousins.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, June 6, 2019, for visitation from 5-8 p.m. and a funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Linda will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
