Mrs. Lova K. Dye, 77, of Lebanon, passed away June 29, 2019, at Hoosier Village in Zionsville.
Lova was born Dec. 11, 1941, in Thorntown, a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Bowen) Evans. She married James “Jim” Dye on Dec. 9, 1962. He survives.
Lova worked as a nurse, beginning her career at Witham Hospital, and then later working for Methodist Hospital. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Lova’s family was truly special to her, especially her grandchildren. She was a part of the Wednesday Elks Dinner Club.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jim Dye of Lebanon; daughters, Maria Keesee of Lebanon and Michelle (Theron) Reichard of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters, Clara Parsons of South Port and Patty Yates of Thorntown; and grandchildren, AJ (Austin), Connor, and Mary Margaret Keesee. Lova was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Sue “Susie” Maiden and grandson, Lucas Keese.
Family and friends will gather Wed., July 3, 2019, for a Celebration of Life service at 4 p.m. officiated by Pastor Nate Kibler, followed by a visitation until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N.
