Friday morning Zionsville officially opened its new park. After years of planning and a year of construction, Overley-Worman Park in Zionsville is officially open. The 47-acre nature park with views of Eagle Creek is home to paved and natural walking trails, mountain bike trails, a fishing pier, playground areas and Zionsville’s first 18-hole disc golf course. Construction on the park began in March of 2021. Park amenities were based on public input and while plans call for keeping the area as natural as possible, a boardwalk around the existing pond and shelters with picnic tables are also planned.
