Patsy Ann Turner
Patsy Ann Turner, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at her home in Sheridan. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on May 7, 1942, a daughter of the late Wiley Buck and Margaret (Simpson) Carpenter.
Patsy was raised in Kentucky, and she attended Middlesboro High School.
She was united in marriage to Walter Lee Turner, and he preceded her in death in March of 1986.
Patsy was a member of Big Springs Community Church in Sheridan and Mts. Runn Baptist Church in Zionsville.
Patsy was a very old-fashioned devout Christian. She raised six children. Patsy was a wife, mother, sister, and mostly was a friend with good advice. She will be missed terribly.
Survivors include children, Walter Ray (Julie) Turner of Kempton, Bobby Turner of Florida, Margaret “Sissy” (Doug) Hollingsworth of Sheridan, Sabrina “Shelly” Turner of Sheridan, Melissa “Lissy” Turner (Russ Meranda, thank you for being a good son) of Sheridan, and John “Buddy” Turner of Sheridan; grandchildren, Amanda Turner, Liz Turner, Nina Turner, Roberta Turner, Tabitha Cox, Levi Goodner, John McPeek, Carter Mcpeek, Terry, Derek, and Pat; great grandchildren, Atlas Turner, Carson Hart, Callie Hart, Jaxon, Walter, Jasmine, Isaiah Wagner, Isabella Wagner, Adeline Monroe, Evelyn Cox, Logan Cox, Stella Cox , Pat Adkins, Logan, Blake, Makoah, Mailia, Sophia, and Keylin; brother, Jackie Ray Carpenter; sister, Billie Duncan of Brownsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua McPeek; brothers, Sonny Carpenter, Wiley Carpenter, Otis Carpenter; and her sisters, Mabel Spears, Pauline Wyrick, and Polly Lacefield.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment with will follow services at Hutton Memorial Cemetery in Zionsville, Indiana.
