Patty Jean (Crawford) Bean, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at her home in Lebanon. She was born in Frankfort, Indiana on September 16, 1943, a daughter of the late Eugene and Lois (Miller) Crawford.

On May 18, 1963, she was united in marriage to Carl David “Dave” Bean in Lebanon. He passed away on March 15, 2009.

She was a 1962 graduate of Lebanon High School Pat lived in Lebanon all of her married life, raising three children together. In the beginning, Pat worked with Dave in their Bean’s Dairy Products business. From 1978 – 1984, she and Dave owned and operated P.J.’s Meat Market in Lebanon. After it closed, Pat went to work for Insulated Glass Company and then Hachette Book Group, before retiring.

Pat’s activities included motorcycle trips with her husband throughout the United States. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities, as well as following NASCAR.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was immensely proud of her family.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Jeff) Boone of Florida, Brian (Jenny) Bean of Noblesville, and Scott (Wendy) Bean of Lebanon; grandchildren: Cara (Riley) Stelzer of California, Colin Boone (fiancée, Bailey Giacomazzo) of California, Riley Bean (girlfriend, Hana Tingle) of Lebanon, Caleb Bean (fiancée, Lily Upchurch) of Indianapolis, Reed Bean of Lebanon, and Cooper Bean of Noblesville; a great-granddaughter, Saylor Stelzer; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Mike Mills of Crawfordsville; as well as a niece and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Patty was preceded in death by two sisters, Diana Dale and Mart Toney; and mother and father-in-law, Ruby and Carl Bean.

Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Memorials may be directed in Patty’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
