Paul Joseph Frankewich, 64, of Thorntown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and later raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette in 1979 with a degree in industrial engineering and later went on to obtain a master’s degree in management in 2002.
Paul worked in Iowa, Michigan and Indiana, spending the past 25 years working at CSI in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Paul was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for 29 years, as well as being a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Paul enjoyed working outside, spending time with his family, volunteering in his community and traveling with his wife, Yvonne.
Paul is survived by his wife of 30 years, Yvonne; mother, Elizabeth Frankewich of Fort Wayne; brother, James Frankewich of Colorado; sisters, Susan Frankewich of Wyoming, Ann Johnson of Nevada, Carol Frankewich of Brownsburg, Diane Frankewich of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Nancy Frankewich. Also surviving are sisters-in-law; Carolyn Jenkins of Virginia, Joyleen (David) Steigerwald of Florida and Marilyn Finn of Florida; 19 nephews/nieces and 25 great nephews/nieces.
Please join the family in a celebration of Paul’s life from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Paul and Yvonne’s home. Family visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon from 11:30-12:30 on January 29th followed by open visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and a Catholic Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. at the church in Lebanon. The service will be livestreamed on the church’s website at https://www.stjoeleb.org/livestream. After the mass all are welcome to continue the celebration of Paul’s life at the home of Paul and Yvonne.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his honor the Boone County Habitat for Humanity or Boone County Humane Society.
