Paula K. Smith, 66, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born on January 3, 1955; a daughter of the late Paul Robert “Robby” and Vera L. (Richwine) Smith.
She was a 1976 graduate of Western Boone Jr. Senior High School and received her associates degree from Purdue University.
Paula was employed with Eli Lilly in the office administration department for many years. Paula attended Hope Community Church in Lebanon and was a member of the African Violet Club. She loved music, cooking shows, making and selling her own soap and was an avid Colts fan.
Survivors include her sons: Chris (Fuatino) Slagle of Greencastle, Josh (companion, Addison Kinslow) Slagle of Thorntown; seven grandchildren, Myckahgafatasi, Taumaiaemevera, Mythiusfaatea, Maddenpapaitau, Majortinousi, Taimanelusia and Alister Allen Slagel; sister, Donna M. (Darwin) Brewer of Rushville; sister-in-law: Jeannie (Bob) Correll of Jamestown and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by a brother, Larry G. Smith and sister, Marica Straw
Visitation is planned for Monday, April 5, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, at the funeral home in Lebanon. For those unable to attend, Myers Mortuary will have live streaming on Myers Mortuary Facebook page. Interment will follow services at Pleasant View Cemetery west of Lebanon.
