Peggy Roselee Hine, Lebanon, IN went to be with God our Lord and Savior January 2, 2024.
Born to Cleo and Mabel Virtue October 17, 1932 Peggy attended Union Grade School Grades 1-5. She moved to Whitestown and attended Junior High School and High School graduating in 1950. Peggy went to work for The Glove Factory in Lebanon for 4 years and married Ed Hine in 1952 . They were married for 71 years and had 4 children, Jeff Hine, Dawn Walker, Reba Hine and David Hine. Peggy was a devoted mother watching all her children participate in sports. Dawn and Reba were devoted swimmers for Lebanon High School and Peggy loved to watch them compete attending all of their meets no matter where they were or how bad the weather. Then David came along and played baseball and basketball and she never missed a game.
Peggy was an avid church member at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Whitestown. She would either be in charge of many meals served to church functions or some other function that required a meal. Peggy’s largest undertaking was operating the food tent at the Farm Progress Show held on the farm land east of Lebanon where they served food to several hundred people each day.
Peggy was an avid bowler. She went to several state and regional meets to compete and was very successful at several of these ventures.
Peggy loved her children and all their activities. She tried to take in all her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. Peggy and Ed spent several winters in Florida after they retired. Peggy never met a stranger. She will be missed by her family. May peace be with her.
