Penny Lynn Stewart, 68, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on November 3, 1954, a daughter of the late Leonard and Donna Evelyn (Hoskins) McCombs.
She was married to Billy Lee Stewart and later divorced.
Penny had worked at the Palm-Aire Spa in Florida for a number of years. She loved being a mother and grandmother and was proud of her family. Penny was fond of her cat, Miss Millie, and enjoyed mushroom hunting each Spring.
Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Shane Childress) Hieston of Jamestown and Rebecca Stewart of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Bradley Burdine, Afton (Aiyanna) Hieston, Mercedes (Austin) Clampitt, Gage Veach, and Trevor Smith; seven great grandchildren; brother,Douglas McCombs of Indianapolis; and sisters, Pamela Hassell of Indianapolis and Mary McCombs of Indianapolis.
In addition to her parents, Penny was preceded in death by her former husband, Billy Lee Stewart; and a sister, Paula McCombs.
Visitation are planned from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana.
