Mr. Phillip A. Eilar, 78, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at his home in Vine Grove, Kentucky. He was born September 25, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana a son of the late Marvin Grant and Ruth Anna (Holmes) Eilar.
A 1959 graduate of Whitestown High School and following high school Phillip served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force.
Phillip was a plant manager at Mazer Corporation in Dayton, Ohio and retired after many years.
He loved the great outdoors and was an active member of the American Legion in Whitetown, Lebanon, Scottsburg and in Troy, Ohio. Phillip was fun loving with a great personality and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Four Grandchildren: Miranda (Joseph) Baier of Middlebury, Indiana

Olivia (Zack) Young of Monticello, Indiana
Brandon (Misty) Eilar of Mooresville, Indiana
Seven Great Grandchildren
Sister: Barbara L. (Donald) Hamm of Lebanon
Brother: Dwane L. (Sharon) Eilar of Lebanon
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana.
Funeral Services with Military Rites are planned for Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home in Lebanon.
Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Garden in Whitestown, Indiana.
Memorials may be directed in his memory to the Charity of the donor’s choice.
