Phyllis Shank, 84, died Thursday, January 6, at Signature Health Parkwood in Lebanon. She was born February 28, 1937, in Gas City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude T. and Virginia I. (Pollen) Judy and brother, David L. Judy.  Phyllis and her husband, Jack B. Shank, were married for 59 years. He preceded her in death in October of 2016.

Phyllis was a ballroom dance instructor with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio for several years, was a runway model, and a realtor during her life in Richmond, Indiana. She was a member of Eta Pi Kappa sorority, known for helping the community and supporting several community charities. Phyllis had great love for helping others.

She found joy in perennial gardening, landscaping, and birdwatching. She loved animals, supporting many charitable causes for their care and welfare. She loved being with her family and being a grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Richard Shank of Indianapolis, and Kimberly Burk (Gary Coffman) of Thorntown; sister, Judith (William) Mitchell of Florida; sister-in-law, Sharon Judy of Florida; grandchildren Alex (Emily) Beattie of Lebanon, Matthew Beattie of Lafayette, and Nicholas (Marissa Dapore) Beattie of Mason, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Elora, Wyatt, and Jack.
