The smoke from a tractor-trailer fire on Whitestown Parkway caused more smoke than danger. No one was hurt in Tuesday afternoon’s fire that consumed the cab of the tractor-trailer, Whitestown Fire Department Chief Josh Westrich said. The call came in at 11:52 a.m. and immediately closed down Whitestown Parkway and the ramps onto the south bound Interstate 65 off ramp. The truck was on Whitestown Parkway. Firefighters from Whitestown, with assistance from Lebanon and Zionsville fire departments, battled the blaze for nearly an hour. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
