Boone County police dogs are getting new protective vests, thanks to a grant from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The life-saving vests cost about $2,000 each, are custom fit and have a warranty of five years. They protect police dogs from bullets and stab wounds. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
