Collen Clark, Lebanon Police crime scene investigator and property room manager, checks the level of medications discarded into a collection box in the LPD lobby Wednesday.

Letting go of unused medication may save a life, and doing so will be easy Saturday at area Walmart stores. Local law enforcement will be on hand to help citizens during the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at several area Walmart’s. Just take unwanted or unused prescription medications to the Lebanon Walmart and give them to a Lebanon Police officer waiting in the parking lot. The medications will be safety destroyed.
