The Boone County Retired Teachers Association met at Dull’s Tree Farm in Mechanicsburg. Joining the group were two special guests. They were the recipients of the 2024 Future Teacher Scholarships of $1,000 each. Accompanied by their parents, the two students shared their future plans with the retired teachers.
Garrett Prickett is a graduate of Western Boone High School. He plans to attend Purdue Fort Wayne and major in music education.
Addison Foster graduated from Zionsville Community High School and will attend Purdue University with a major in special education.
Scholarship money is raised all year at retired teachers’ gatherings.
