Richard Eugene Wright, 87, passed away Thursday morning, April 20, 2023, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born in Montgomery County, Indiana, on July 7, 1935, a son of the late Richard L. and Nell Chloe (Goode) Wright.
On August 21, 1955, he was married to Alberta Mae (Day) Wright in Indianapolis; she survives.
Richard was a 1953 graduate of North Salem High School. He farmed livestock throughout the years and was proud to raise purebred show hogs, specifically Duroc.
He was member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta Wright of Lebanon; children, Mark Wright of Zionsville, Teresa (Rick) Braziel of Lebanon, and Penny (Rudy) Bohinc of Springboro, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Josh Braziel, Jared Braziel, Jill Riner, Michael Rhoton, Jordan Bohinc, Kyle Bohinc, and Cody Bohinc; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon. Myers Mortuary has been entrusted with his arrangements.
