On Friday, September 1, at approximately 9:28pm, Clinton County Deputies responded to a crash with injuries near the intersection of County Roads 300S and 200W.

Preliminary investigation determined that a white 2014 Ford, operated by MacKenzie Walker, 17, of Frankfort, was traveling eastbound on County Road 300S. After stopping at the stop sign at the intersection of County Roads 300S and 200W, Walker proceeded east, failing to yield to a black 2015 Nissan, operated by Kade Clayton, 16, of Lizton, who was traveling southbound on County Road 200W. Walker collided with Clayton, causing the Nisson to roll multiple times in a bean field, before coming to rest on the roof of the vehicle.

The Nisson was carrying 2 juvenile passengers. The front seat passenger, Cody Hughes, 17, of Jamestown was transported to an Indianapolis hospital with non life threatening injuries. The 3rd passenger in the Nisson, Jacob Garing, 15, of Pittsboro, Clayton and Walker were all transported to a local hospital for treatment.
