Mrs. Rosalyn Brownlee, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, at Independence Village of Zionsville, surrounded by her children. She was born May 6, 1941, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Leland and Margaret (Hume) Dale. Rosalyn married Gerald Brownlee on Jun. 5, 1960, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1999. For many years, Rosalyn worked beside her husband and her family, supporting the family farm.

Rosalyn graduated from Pinnell High School with the class of 1959. Over the years, she had worked for NASA, Armstrong Otterman, the State Bank of Lizton, and the Hallmark store. Rosalyn volunteered as a gray lady for Witham Memorial Hospital for many years. She had a passion for going to garage sales, as well as collecting antiques and glass. She was a faithful member of the New Brunswick Church of Christ and the New Hope Christian Church, where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and was in charge of the crafts for vacation bible school. She was also a member of the Gingham Gals Home Economics Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Streeter; son, Dan (Nancy) Brownlee; sister, Marilyn George; grandchildren, Matthew, Mary, and Elijah; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosalyn was preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Dale and sister, Carolyn Acton.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Dec. 16, for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Dr. David Faust officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Rosalyn will be laid to rest at Lizton K of P Cemetery in Lizton.
