
Upon initial investigation, it was determined that a semi, driven by Ardis Tucker (53 years old) of Saint Paul, IN, was traveling eastbound on I-74 in the right lane when the front driver side tire blew. The semi then collided with a white RAM ProMaster Utility Van, traveling eastbound in the left lane, driven by Jason Marshall (49 years old) of Indianapolis, IN. Both vehicles crossed the median into the westbound lanes of travel colliding with another semi, driven by Nathaniel Adams (30 years old) of Indianapolis, IN. The utility van rolled causing the passenger, Geneva Chesnut (39 years old) of New Castle, IN to be entrapped in the vehicle.
Jason Marshall, Geneva Chesnut, and Nathaniel Adams were transported by ambulance and Ardis Tucker was airlifted to nearby medical facilities for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team responded to the scene to investigate. At this time, the incident is still under investigation.
