Mrs. Sharon Lee Allen, 79, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born February 24, 1943, in Lebanon, Indiana, a daughter of the late Leroy Bernard Likens and Martha May (Pearson) Likens Langley.
On February 17, 1968, she was married to James Walter Allen in Beech Grove, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2012.
Sharon was raised in the Greenwood community and was a 1960 graduate of Southport High School. She and Jim lived in the Indianapolis area the first two years of marriage and moved to Lebanon in 1972. Sharon had spent some time working in the kitchen for Jack Love County Seat Restaurant. From 1986–2004, she worked in the laundry room at Essex Manor.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She held memberships with the Lebanon Rock Church, Lebanon Moose Lodge and Eagles Club. She loved the Lord and cared for her church family in addition to her own.
Survivors include her son, Robert A. (Candi) Allen of Lebanon; an adopted son, Dean Stambaugh and girlfriend, Ashley Ferch of Lebanon; grandson, Robert A. Acton of Atlanta, Georgia; adopted grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Stambaugh of Lebanon; two sisters, Linda (Neil) Hiatt of Whiteland and Sandra Jones of West Lafayette; and a half brother, John Langley of Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie (Mary Lou) Likens and Jerry Likens, and a brother-in-law, Jim Jones.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Rev. Matt Skiles, officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Interment will follow at Center Cemetery east of Lebanon.
