Shirley Ann Martin, 80, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Hendrick Regional Health in Danville. She was born in Hendricks County, Indiana, on October 30, 1942, a daughter of D. Clayson and Eva Mae (Tyler) Smock.

On January 20, 1963, she was married to R. Michael Martin and later divorced.

She was a graduate of Lizton High School and attended Indianapolis Business College. She spent her working career as a computer trainer at the Jewish Temple.

Shirley was a dedicated member of Mechanicsburg Christian Church where she enjoyed playing the piano and serving in the choir and as song leader. She loved gardening, canning, and cooking. Shirley was skilled at sewing and embroidery. Above all Shirley deeply loved her family.

Survivors include her children: Kevin (Claire) Martin of Mechanicsburg, Kim (Tim) Cadle of Mechanicsburg, Kathy (Cathal) Mills Coyle of Brownsburg, and Katrina Martin of Pittsboro; grandchildren: Michael Hodges, Vanessa Martin, Erin Martin, Kolton (Madie) McKinnies, Kassidi Cadle, Tyler Cadle, Mitchell (Kaitlyn) Mills, Thomas Mills, Alyssa Cummins, Brooke Cummins, Luke Cummins, Levi (Amanda) Jackson, Dalton Jackson, and Kassi Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelli Cummins, and siblings: Jim Smock, Keith Smock, Jerry Smock, and Sue Swain.

Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Mechanicsburg Christian Church, 650 West Horton Road, in Mechanicsburg. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow services at Dover Cemetery in Dover. Myers Mortuary in Lebanon is handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be directed in her memory to the Mechanicsburg Christian Church.
