Shirley Mae Sherrill, 93, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at her home in Lebanon. She was born in Frankfort on August 13, 1930, a daughter of the late Rollie Glenn and Dorothy May (Pollard) Harshman.
Shirley was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School. She was employed part-time as a tax assessor in Boone County, she was a custodian at the Lebanon Middle School and Shirley had worked for Gannett Marketing in Indianapolis.
On November 19, 1949, she was united in marriage to Raymond Eugene Sherrill in Frankfort, he preceded her in death in 1977.
Shirley was a Cub Scout den mother with pack #355 and was a member of Royal Neighbors.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children Kay Sherrill of Lebanon, Kerry (Bonnie) Sherrill of Indianapolis, Terry (Dorothy) Sherrill of Indianapolis and Rhonda (Chuck) Winkles of Lebanon; granddaughters, Angela (Kasey Klipsch) Sherrill of Chicago and Melody (Jesse) Hoffman of Avon; three great grandchildren; sister, Glenda Sue Vinard of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Eugene Harshman and her sisters, Emma Ruth Breeze, and Mildred Ann Spray.
Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
