Stanley Marvin Wethington, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. He was born August 15, 1932, in Atterson, Casey County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Guy and Lovenia Wethington. He graduated from Pinnell High School in 1952. Stanley married Teresa Clouser on June 24, 1953. They were married for 62 years. Stanley was a Corporal in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and served in the Korean War. After his military service, he worked at National Homes, Ford Motor Company, and retired from Allison Gas Turbine after 33 years of service.

His passion was farming, which he did all his life. He loved spending time with his family, volunteering, gardening, carpentry work, and reading. Stanley was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. For the last two years, Stanley has enjoyed his time at Crown Pointe Assisted Living in Lebanon, IN where he made many wonderful friendships and memories with the residents and staff.

Survivors include, his children, Larry Wethington of Lebanon, IN, Lisa Wethington (Jen Stotka) of Asheville, NC, and Linda Chapman of TN; daughter-in-law, Ronda Wethington of Lebanon, IN; grandchildren, Jason Wethington (Bri) of Franklin, IN and Brandon Wethington (Mattie) of Lebanon, IN; great grandchildren, Avery, Sophie, Cameron, and Lester; and a brother, Gene Wethington (Sonya).

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa; his son, Lester; and his sister, Jessie Reger.

A Funeral Mass is planned for 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 24, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 319 East South Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Father Dan Duff, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment with military rites will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lebanon. Myers Mortuary has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements.
