Western Boone Softball Sectional Champs
Western Boone softball won the school’s 15th sectional title beating Seeger 8-1 on Thursday night to claim the Sectional 38 crown. Seeger came into the sectional final with a 20-3 record, and had won 10 of their last 11 games – out-scoring opponents 107-18 during that stretch. Pitcher Hannah Redlin went 3-0 with a 0.33 ERA in the sectional, striking out 22 and allowing just 10 hits thru three games. In the win over Seeger Jozzy Lewis was 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. The Stars will head up to Whitko on Tuesday and have a rematch of the 2018 regional which Whitko won 3-2. In other sectional action Sheridan beat Rossville 15 to 5. Sheridan will travel Tuesday to face North Vermillion. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
