Stephen Eric Chinn, 55, of Lebanon passed away on February 19, 2020 at Witham Memorial Hospital Extended Care /Hospice Unit. He was born on December 13, 1964 in Pittsburg, Kansas; a son of David Lawrence and Julia Ann (Copsey) Chinn.

He attended schools in the Kansas Communities where his father served as a United Methodist pastor and he was a 1983 graduate of Cimarron High School in Cimarron Kansas. Following high school, he graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in May of 1987.

Stephen served 16 years in the Vanderbilt University Information Technology Services in Nashville, Tennessee until declining health forced him to take disability. He moved to Lebanon, Indiana in 2010 where his family could provide in-home care that he needed.

In addition to computer technology, Stephen loved to study art history and genealogy. His interest greatly expanded the family’s knowledge of their own genealogy history. Stephen was blessed with a loving and supportive family.

Sister: Karen Diane Roberts and husband, Richard M. Roberts, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska

Nephew: Mitchell David Roberts of Anchorage, Alaska

Cousins: Kathryn Macy of Lebanon, Indiana
Roger Copsey of Coatesville, Indiana
Carol Logsdon of Indianapolis, Indiana

Uncle: Orville Copsey Jr. and his wife, Carrie of Indianapolis

The family would like to greatly acknowledge Witham Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care given to Stephen.

Services will be held at a later date. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his care.
