Torrential downpours and strong winds pummeled Boone County Monday evening into Tuesday morning and afternoon.
The severe weather yielded a lightning strike that caused minimal damage to a home at 409 N. Meridian St., Lebanon, Tuesday morning, according to Lebanon Fire Department public information officer Gabe Westerfeld.
A passerby reported the fire to LFD. All residents were safe, as they had already evacuated the two-story residence when fire crews arrived, Westerfeld said. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
