In early November the Boone County Sheriff’s Office received information about an alleged child seduction case. The Zionsville Community School Corporation reported to the Indiana Department of Child Services that Mr. Shawn Martin II (26 years of age) engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a juvenile female student from the Zionsville Community School Corporation. After receiving this complaint, the Boone County Criminal Investigations Division opened an investigation into the alleged inappropriate sexual conduct. Mr. Martin, at the time, was a substitute teacher for the Zionsville School Corporation. It was reported that the alleged incident took place off school property. Mr. Martin was taken into custody and booked into the Boone County Jail on a Boone County Felony Warrant for two counts of Child Seduction which is a level 5 felony. This arrest is the result of a group effort from the Zionsville Community School Corporation, Boone County Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center, and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office working closely together.
