Thelma Enoch, 99, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Apr. 12, 2022, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon.

Thelma was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Bluffton, IN, daughter of the late E. Owen Finney and Lillie M. (Myers) Finney.

Thelma married the love of her life Lloyd Enoch, and spent 62 happy years together, until his death May 24, 2003. She graduated from Whitestown High School in 1940.

Thelma was employed at the Whitestown Telephone company, Indiana Bell Telephone Company in Indianapolis, the Federal government in Indianapolis, and retired as a secretary at Harney Elementary School after 22 years of service. She truly loved her family, extended family, and Lloyd’s family. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, genealogy and antiques.

Thelma was a member of the Alpha Delta Sorority, Friendly City Garden Club, Centenary United Methodist Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary and Telephone Pioneers.

Survivors include her very special nieces and nephews, Julie (Jon) Gilliam, Tom (Sandy) Gibson, Robin (Ken) McEwen, Steve Gibson, and Jim (Karen) Scott; and several other special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her only son, Brent Enoch on Feb. 25, 2001; two sisters, Myra B. Scott and Phyllis Gibson Zimmerman; sisters-in-law, Vivian Crowe, June Gifford, and Judy English; two dear nieces, Jane A. (Scott) Myers and Diana (Gibson) Goodnight; one dear nephew, Joseph “Joe” Gibson; and brother-in-law, James Robert “Bob” Scott, Sr.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, Apr. 27, for visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Following cremation, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
