The Thorntown Town Council Monday night adopted the Boone County Animal Ordinance, giving the Boone County Animal Control Officer authority to enforce animal ordinance violations within the town limits. The Thorntown Town Council began the process of drafting a new town animal ordinance at its April meeting. The town ordinance would be in addition to the county ordinance and not enforced by the county. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
