A countywide school supply drive is underway and will run through July 12, with one of the main collection events happening over the weekend at the Lebanon Wal-Mart.
For the ninth year, the United Way of Central Indiana is teaming up with community partners such as Hachette Book Group, Lebanon Area Boys & Girls Club, Lebanon Kiwanis Club, The Caring Center and the Lebanon Wal-Mart for Boone County BackPack Attack.
The organizations are teaming up, along with community volunteers, to collect new school supplies to distribute to Boone County children in need. Volunteers will be accepting donations of new school supplies at the Lebanon Wal-Mart during the Fill the Bus event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. More details on this story is available in the Lebanon Reporter.
