Last year, the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library was awarded the right to establish a new library in Worth Township. On Tuesday night, in a 5-1 vote by the Zionsville Town Council, a $9 million bond was approved to begin construction of a new library in Whitestown. Town council member Brad Burk was the only one who voted against the bond resolution. The HMMPL was required to get the approval of the town council before issuing the bond.
