Darijuan Gough

On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Deputies with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office were conducting a specialized patrol for traffic enforcement on US Highway 52.

Deputy Creasy conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Hyundai passenger vehicle on US 52, near CR 880 W, for a traffic infraction. After contacting the occupants of the vehicle, Deputy Creasy became suspicious of illegal activity and called for a K9 Officer to assist. During this interaction, the Driver fled from the stop location in the vehicle.
A pursuit ensued with multiple agencies assisting. As the driver made multiple attempts to evade police, items were thrown from the driver side window of the vehicle. Deputies recovered a 9mm handgun from the median.
Once the pursuit ended, the driver, Darijuan Gough, 24, of Indianapolis was taken into custody. Gough was arrested for the following:
Reckless Driving
Resisting Law Enforcement
Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
Possession of Marijuana
Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)
Assisting the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office were Clinton County Central Dispatch, Indiana State Police, Mulberry Police Department, Colfax Police Department, Michigantown Police Department and the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office.
Formal charges are pending review by the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office.
All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
