
He was a 1962 graduate of Pike High School. Following high school he served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1963-1967 as a First Mate Seaman. True was a machinist for General Motors for many years. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his daughter, Trudi L. (Richard) Beiter of Florida; son, T.J. Wagoner, III of Brazil, Indiana;
life partner, Toni Bowles of Thorntown; also surviving are Sarah Stradling of Virginia, Megan Gillman of Fort Wayne, Ericha Hite of Lebanon, Joe Bowles of Lebanon; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren;
cousin, Mark Wagoner of Indianapolis.
In addition to parents, True was preceded in death by a sister, Sonya Etter.
Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Whitestown American Legion Post #410, 5 Linville Ave., Whitestown, Indiana 46075. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with his cremation arrangements. Memorials may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society
